If you think that the front fence of your mouth, aka teeth, has collected too many stains and colours no one would like to have on it, you can refresh that fence in several popular and affordable ways. The first thing to do is to decide whether you want to do it yourself or seek a professional whitening help. If you perceive yourself as a skillful amateur dentist, there are numerous and effective teeth whitening methods.
You can start with good old sodium bicarbonate (aka baking soda). It is a household name in every kitchen and it is always accessible. Put some toothpaste on the toothbrush and add a small tablespoon of baking soda onto it. Brush the teeth as long as you usually do. When you are done, wash out your mouth with lukewarm water. The effect will be considerably whiter teeth than before.
Dipping your toothpaste in olive oil before you have put toothpaste on it is another domestic method for whiter teeth. You can repeat the process for two or three times a day. Furthermore, a cotton cloth can be soaked with olive oil which you rub your teeth and wash them with water.
In case you think that using the noble olive oil is a waste of money, try ordinary peroxide. After brushing your teeth with the toothpaste and rinsing your mouth afterwards, put some peroxide on the toothbrush and brush the teeth for two minutes. Even better, if you have both the baking soda and peroxide, try mixing them together. Fill the half of the peroxide bottle lid with baking soda and the rest with peroxide. Let the mixture remain on the teeth for two minutes. Do not start panicking if the mixture gets onto the gums or lips. Although they might turn pink or white, the colour usually wears off soon. For those who do not want to push their luck with making their mouth changing colours like a shiny discoball, useful advice is taking a pinch of salt to which a few drops of lemon juice are added and then applied on the teeth.
When it is late spring or the beginning of summer, soft little red fruit is usually sold at every corner. Strawberries are another interesting tool in battling the yellow and stained teeth. Cut a strawberry in two halfs and rub the teeth with the inner side of it. Leave the pink layer of strawberry juice on the teeth for five minutes. Brush it with your toothbrush. This process should be repeated in the morning and in the evening.
If there are no other ways, take half cup of white vinager and add one table spoon of salt in it. Wash you mouth daily before going to bed. You will absolutly find your teeth shiny and strong.
Whatever technique you choose, be careful and teeth-friendly. It takes time to achieve the goal you want and using too many chemicals on your own to cut the long process short can be potentially dangerous. If you decide to use them, do consult a professional dentist.
